Xiaomi has launched Mi Max 2, a successor of Mi Max with 4,850mAh battery which was launched last year. The device is priced at ₹16,999 and can be bought from mi.com from July 20. The device is available both online and offline market from July 27 onwards. Most of the devices are available in the market in this range, but what makes Mi Max 2 shine among the competition is its massive battery and large screen size. The device is released earlier in China and other markets and sale have already begun.

Mi Max 2 has a unibody metal design with curved antenna band on top and edges. It has rounded edges and company claims it to be scratch resistant. Mi Max 2 some what resembles Mi 6 due to its antenna position and curved edges.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with a 6.44-inch full HD screen which is of the same size of Mi Max. The screen has a resolution of 1080p with 2.5D glass on top of it. It is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Indian variant comes 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of ram, there is no 128Gb variant available in India.
It has USB-C connectivity port for charging and support Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 which could charge your device up to 68% in just 1 hour. It also supports reverse charging, by which you can charge another device with it. It has 5300mAh battery and can give 18 hours of video playback, 13 hours gaming, 57 hours of call time. the company claims that the battery will last for two days when fully charged. Mi Max 2 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with the Sony IMX 386 sensor, F/2.2 aperture and Dual LED flash and is capable of capturing 4K videos at 30fps. It has a 5MP front facing camera for selfies.
The device has dual sim support. The phone comes with hybrid sim tray by which you can increase your storage by using MicroSD card. Other connectivity options for Mi Max 2 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, IR blaster, 3,5mm Audio Jack, For immersive sound experience it comes with a dual speaker at the bottom.
