Xiaomi has launched yet another smartphone in budget segment and managed to keep the price around Rs.5,000 in India. Redmi series is a big hit for the company and 4A was liked by consumers and was well appreciated due to its Pricing and availability.
Xiaomi recently marketed it as Desh ka Smartphone which targeted Smartphones for Indian users. Redmi 5A was launched in China in October, and now it has been launched in India with some changes.
Redmi 5A is available in two variants one with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage priced at Rs.4,999 and second 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage priced at Rs.6,999. The device will be available from December 7 and can be purchased via Flipkart, MI India online store and Mi Home Stores across India.
The pricing of Rs.4,999 is applicable only for first 50 lakh unit, after that the price of base model will be Rs 5,999. Redmi 5A will be available in three colour variant Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A Specifications
Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels with pixel density of 296ppi. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked up to 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM.
The Smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2, along with LED flash and PDAF. In front, it has 5-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.0
Xiaomi Redmi 5A comes with 16GB/32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB and comes with a dual sim slot option.
Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.1, GPS/A-GPS, Infrared sensor. It has 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB port. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. It has 3000 mAh battery that supports 5V/1A charging and can give up to 8 days of standby time, 7 hours of video playback.
Redmi 5A comes with Android Nougat and MiUI 9 out of the box. The availability of smartphone will be from 7th December with offers from Jio.
